Today I started off with a drug overdose autopsy. I worked with a different doctor today so it was nice to have a different perspective of how an autopsy is done. I was amazed at the amount of knowledge that this doctor has. Before weighing the organs, this doctor could guess the weight of the organ, and 90% of the time, he would be exact! While preforming the autopsy he told be that he has peformed over 7,000 autopsies! The next autopsy I was in was also an overdose, preformed by the same doctor. During lunch, everyone who works in the office sat down and talked for a while. I had fun getting to know everyone better. The rest of the day I helped out around the office with things that needed to be done, such as scanning and copying. I am interested to know what kind of autopsies will be completed tomorrow.
